Here are the Biographies of KoRn

JONATHAN HOUSEMAN HIV DAVIS

Jonathan was born on 18 January 1971 in Bakersfield. His nickname is HIV, despite the fact that he does not have HIV yet. To compensate, he has a tattoo that reads "HIV". He plays the bagpipes in the earlier albums, and is currently the lead vocal. Jon married Renee in November 1988, but is currently divorced, and has a son named Nathan, born 18 October 1995.

At 16 he became a coroner's assistant at the Coroners Department in Kern County, and he graduated at the San Francisco School of Mortuary Science. After seeing victims of car crashes, suicides, and sexual abuse - including people he had known or talked to the day before - he suffered post-traumatic stress.

At a young age Jonathan went through the painful ordeal of parental divorce. His father Rick later remarried. His HIV tattoo acts as a reminder not to engage in casual sex. He has other tattoos as well: on his upper right arm is crazed bishop ripping up his skin. Jonathan was lead singer in the band Sex Art before Munky and Head recruited him to join LAPD.

DAVID SILVERIA

David is the only member of Korn without a nickname, but if he had to have one, it may well have been "Fiddlesticks" because he sure can drum (in his own weird way). David Silveria was born on 21 September 1972 in Bakersfield. He is married to Shannon Bellino, and has one son who is also named David.

He learned to play drums at the age of 9, but he was so good that James, Brian and Fieldy took him on almost immediately when they heard him play. He was only 13 when he joined the foursome.

David married Shannon Bellino in April 1997. His son David was born on 22 August 1997. He has Shannons's name tattooed on his back. Other tattoos include a Cheshire cat, a guy sticking out his tongue with a drum stick through it, and the Korn logo.

One of David's sidelines is modelling. His favorite song is B.B.K. When asked what 5 albums he'd like to be stranded on an island with he says Filter's Shortbus, Blondie's Greatest Hits, Orgy's Candyass, Helmet's Meantime and Weezer's first album.

REGINALD FIELDY SNUTS ARVIZU

Reggy is the band's bass, and his nickname is "Fieldy". He was born on 2 November 1969. He is married to Shela, and has two daughters Serena-Rae and Olivia. Reggy does all the t-shirt designs for Korn, as well as all the merchandise such as hats and stickers.

He gets inspired by west-coast hip-hop - he prefers their beats and style. Reggy also gets inspired by alcohol. He got married in May 1998. His daughter Sarina-Rae was born on 30 September 1997.

Where does his nickname come from? It's a long story... when he was young, he had cheeks that looked like that of a chipmunk, so his friends teased him and called him Gopher. Gopher became Garf, Garf became Garfield, Garfield became Field and Field became Fieldy.

Fieldy's favorite song is Freak on a Leash. When asked what 5 albums he'd like to be stranded on an island with he says the new Korn record, Chris Rock's live comedy album, the biggest old school hip-hop compilation you could get, Psycho Realm, and Erykah Badu Live.

BRIAN HEAD WELCH

Brian is one of the band's guitarists. He was born on 19 June 1970 in Torrence, California. He is married to Rebekkah and has one daughter Jeannea-Marie, who was born on 6 July 1998. Korn dropped out of the 1998 OzzFest in Europe because of Brian's daughter's birth.

Brian and Munky went to the same primary and high school. When Munky joined LAPD, they decided that they need an extra guitarist, and Brian volunteered. He is known as "Head" because he has a big head (go figure).

JAMES MUNKY SHAFFER

Munky is the other guitarist of Korn. He was born on 6 June 1970 in Rosedale, California. He is single, girls (or boys)! His musical carreer started when he lost a finger in an accident and was ordered by the doctor to learn to play a musical instrument to rehabilitate his hand.

Before joining Korn he was in a band named LAPD with Head, David and Fieldy. On stage he often wears overalls, because he likes to look trashy and dirty -- it also reflects on how he feels inside, he says.

His nickname is "Munky", and sure enough, the origins of this nickname is "monkey" (James can't spell either, it seems). He has big, webby feet, like that of a monkey.
